It's ironic that you see Ford T buckets with engines the size of refrigerators, no seatbelts, windshields, etc... travelling the streets of california with no concern for tickets or harassment. same goes for street rods etc.Yet, nearly every cheap sports car thats driven by a kid is being drivin like a moron. This is where your stereotyping comes in. Too many kids buy ricer parts for their cars and don't know how to drive. They try to race anything that looks more alive then a silk house plant. (this is a generaliztion). It just so happens that the asian communities in cities all across the country embrass modifying cars to the point of being dangerous. Lets take a look at another example. The hispanic low rider scene. It's the same thing. They modify their cars to dangerous conditions, yet the harassment is relatively low. But why is that? It's because their thing isn't racing. It's chillin out, yo. They get harassed for other reasons I'm sure, but not by CHP. Looking back at the hotrodders and street rodders... they modify their cars for... eh... i dunno why. But, they don't go out at night street racing everything under the moon. The fact is, (generaliztion), the Asian community has brought this on themselves by embracing dangerous behavior. If the same modifications were done, and street racing was replaced by hosting car washes, I *garuntee* harassment would not be an issue. To fix this problem, it is important for the Asian community to not go out at night. And only ride bicycles if it's an emergency. This is the only answer. IMHO.
